Far Eastern Folklore tells the inspiration story of the jade rabbit, a strong and selfless character who sacrificed himself to feed three poor, elderly people. Those people were so moved to become moved by the rabbit’s noble deed. That they sent him to the moon to become immortal. In celebration of the mid-autumn festival 2021. Douglas Laing & Co proudly unveil this Timorous Beastie bottling.

This non chill-filtered “vatted malt” is a marriage of appropriately aged and selected highland malts – including, amongst others, those distilled at Blair Athol, Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne distilleries. Matured in 100% Bourbon casks and aged for no less than 12 years.
