Beyond the Label Patròn Barrel Select Anejo S1B47 Patrón Añejo is handcrafted from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave and is carefully distilled in small batches at Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. This specific release was then aged for over 12 months in American oak. From Kati Alexander, Topflight Series Panel Member:  Patrón tequila is known for being one of the world’s most beloved premium tequila producers. Despite having high expectations, I was blown away by the delicate complexity and quality of this single barrel añejo. Aged for 16 months in oak, in barrel room 7 at Hacienda Patrón, this selection boasts mouthwatering aromas of vanilla, white pepper, and golden raisins. It took me a while to take my first sip because of how much fun this tequila is on the nose, with hints of caramel and custard peeking through. The flavor profile was no less enjoyable, starting with a gentle expression of honeydew and tropical fruits. This soft, tropical flavor quickly evolves into more profound sweet and toasty notes of marshmallow, toffee, and a pinch of white pepper with a lingering, mouth-coating finish of honey. This release clearly reminds me of honey graham crackers smeared with toasted marshmallows. (Where are my s’mores lovers at?) You definitely won’t regret this buy.
