Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: No Age Statement Country: Scotland
A Glen Grant Single Malt, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This exquisite whisky was distilled at the amazing Speyside distillery, which was built in 1840 by the brothers John and James Grant. This was the first of five distilleries to be build by the remarkable Grant brothers.
Glen Grant has uniquely shaped stills, with an almost square section between the pot and the neck, along with purifiers on the lyne arms. Which contributes to the light, gentle character that so much people enjoy around the world.
Gordon & MacPhail have some good stocks of old Glen Grant to draw on, as shown by this incredible 1950 vintage bottling, released in 2010 at about 60 years old. A full bodied single malt whisky which is dark gold in colour. It was matured in refill sherry casks and portraits a nice example of a greatly aged malt whisky.
