Glenfarclas 1992 Aged 28 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 51.5% Age: 28 Years Old Country: Australia
The Glenfarclas distillery is famous for its Sherry-influenced expressions and there’s not an expression more known that the Glenfarclas Aged 15 Years Single Malt. It is matured in 60% ex-Sherry casks and 40% ex-Bourbon casks. The maturation in the Bourbon casks are slightly different to the normal maturation guidelines. Before using the casks they are shaved back slightly. This allows the whisky to gain more flavour influence from the Sherry casks, resulting in a richer, fruitier whisky.
Distilled in 1992 which was the birth year of the Lark Distillery. This Glenfarclas has been matured in the finest Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks from Spain and left to mature for nearly three decades. The cask celebrates the friendship of Glenfarclas distiller John Grant and Lark founder Bill Lark. It has been bottled at cask strength with no chill filtration.
