The Independently owned Loch Lomond Company currently own this large distillery which produces around 2,500,000 litres of whisky per year. There are 8 single malts currently produced from this distillery Loch Lomond, Old Rusdhu, Inchmurrin and Croftengea are the main bottling labels you would tend to discover. Croftengea is named to signify the most heavily peated whisky in the releases.  This distillery was first known as the Littlemill Distillery and was established in 1965 but a distillery was known to be on the site or there abouts back in 1814. This distillery tends to bring you wonderful notes of vanilla and fresh cereals, spicy and ginger with some peppery flavours. A very refreshing whisky on the palate.

High Spirits is an Italian independent bottler owned by Ferdinando (Nadi) Fiori, which specialises in single cask single malts bottled at cask strength. The company is noted for the artistic style of its labels and packaging in particular its Scottish Colourist, Sails In The Wind and Lochs And Castles Of Scotland ranges, as well as the more surreal Life Is A Circus series. High Spirits also bottled whiskies selected by renowned Italian collector Valentino Zagatti, bottled to celebrate Zagatti’s 50th anniversary of whisky collecting in 2008. Established in 1999 the company emerged from the dissolution of Italian alcohol importer Intertrade.

This independent bottling has been sourced from the Loch Lomond distillery where it was distilled from peated malted barley in 2007. It was then placed in an ex Bourbon barrel and left to mature for 11 years. It was bottled at 46% abv in 2019.
