Chivas Royal Salute 21 Years Old Signature Blend Blended Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: 21 Years Old Country: Scotland
The international reputation of Chivas Regal has been built through the purchase of one Scottish distillery, Strathisla Distillery in Keith. It is the oldest and most beautiful distillery in the Highlands of Scotland. To be named a blended Scotch whisky the item must contain single malt Scotch whisky and single grain Scotch whisky. The Chivas Regal 12 years old, and 18 years old are blended using a process called triple blending. The Master Distiller selects the appropriate single malts and these are blended together. He/She then takes the appropriate single grain whiskies and blends these together. The final part of the process the vatted malts and the vatted grains are combined to create a whisky which is rich, smooth and exceptionally flavoursome.
As far. as blended whiskies go this has to be up there in our top 10. The Royal Salute Signature Blend is aged for a minimum of 21 years and has been created to honour the 21 Gun Salute that is fired at the Tower of London for Royal celebration. Presented in a classic blue Wade ceramic decanter and bottled at 40% abv.
