Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Initial rum and raisin notes, with a delicate vanilla edge, give way to smooth peach and nectarine fruit flavours mingling beautifully with toasted malt.
Taste: Hints of rich sherried Christmas cake with a touch of marzipan, and mixed spices. It’s deliciously smooth and creamy with mouth warming qualities.
With a little water
Nose: Through the subtle notes of ripe green apples, a delicate touch of charred oak smoke comes to the fore and malty notes emerge, too.
Taste: There’s a wonderful initial burst of Sherry sweetness with a hint of peat smoke and black pepper, giving a long, smooth and warming finish.
