One of our favourite whiskies at The Whisky Company is the Ben Nevis 10 Years old so we are very excited about this new bottling from the distillery.
Matured in first-fill bourbon, sherry and wine casks, this release is bottled at 62.4% and is individually numbered. Only 8000-9000 bottles for worldwide distribution. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2018.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel and toffee sweetness combines with tropical fruits and summer pudding. There’s honey notes which balance well with chocolate and cracked black pepper.
Taste: Red berries, liquorice and green apples. Blood orange, toasted walnuts, cardamon pods and coffee beans. A touch of smoke to help combine this fabulous dram.
Finish: Cinnamon and ginger, stewed berries and plums.
Conclusion: Simply superb, a memorable experience.
