This is where he learned the distilling trade and was quick to catch on to how successful you could become. David Stewart the Balvenie Malt Master is one of the industries most experienced whisky experts. David created the process wood finishing and changed the industry and the the flavour of whisky.
This is the 2021 release of the Balvenie Stories Series named The Second Red Rose. The stories releases embark on a historical celebration of whisky previously created at the distillery. For The Second Red Rose, Balvenie’s Malt Master David Stewart chose to finish the whisky in Australian Shiraz casks, imparting a whole host of ripe fruit notes, touches of blackberry and peach, a helping of rich oak, and of course, a rosy hue.
