Arran Festival Bottling 2015 Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Every June Arran hold their annual Arran Malt & Music Festival in the grounds of the Distillery in Lochranza. Each year they produce a special Festival bottling to mark the occasion and this bottling is usually chosen by the particpants of Euan or James’s Masterclass from the year before. This year’s offering was selected by the participants of the 2014 Ultimate Masterclass. It is a single cask Arran Malt matured in a French Oak Cask from the Normandy region of France.

This bottling is an exclusive to the Arran Visitor Centre in Lochranza, however 6 bottles are being made available online for Nippy Sweetie Whiskies customers who were not able to attend this year’s Festival.

*To make it extra special these bottles are signed by James MacTaggart the Arran Distilleries Master Distiller.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Infused with notes of sweet orchard fruits and green apples imparted by the cask, creating an intriguing marriage which is delicately balanced with hints of sweet and warming spice.

Taste: The mouthfeel is fruity and luxurious – hints of golden sultanas and raisins are followed by a touch of vanilla pod and candied citrus.
