Newly released on 17 March, 2016. The Cask Strength Batch 1 displays the classic style of this distillery. Modelled on the success of recent GlenDronach releases, this is non chill filtered and bottled at Cask Strength, we hope to see much more of this from BenRiach in the coming years.

There is a complexity to this whisky, which no doubt develops in aged in first fill Sherry barrels, refill Sherry barrels, Hogsheads and Virgin oak barrels

Our Tasting Notes

Colour: Harvest gold and burnished copper.

Nose: A fresh and clean start with light fruits, rosewater and orchard fruits. Gentle floral notes, intertwined with coconut and light oak.

Taste: Another fruit bomb, with hints of barley and vanilla, which is more apparent on the palate. Even though this is cask strength, the dram is mellow and light enough without the addition of water.

Finish: Light with a hint of peppermint, and sweet barley.
