Cragganmore is a Speyside single malt distillery situated in Ballindalloch in Banffshire, Scotland. Founded in 1869 by John Smith due to its proximity to the Craggan burn and close to rail infrastructure. John Smith was a very experienced distiller having worked for The Macallan, The Glenlivet, Glenfarclas and Wishaw Distilleries The local railway is no longer in use and it is now a fine place to take a bottle of Cragganmore and walk though the beautiful local forests. Cragganmore is owned by spirits powerhouse Diageo.
This Cragganmore was initially matured in ex-Bourbon American oak casks followed by a finish in ex-Port pipes. It was bottled in 2019 at 40% ABV.
