Springbank 2001 8 Years Old Vintage Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Volume: 700ml ABV: 55.3% Age: 8 Years Old Country: Scotland
This Springbank has been matured in sherry and bourbon casks for 8 years and has been bottled at cask strength. We can truly say that even at 8 years this single malt whisky from Springbank is again exceptional.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Plenty of fruity aromas here, blackberries, raspberries, stewed citrus fruits and Worthers originals bound together with delicate oak.
Taste: The fruitiness explodes on the palate, citrus and sweet honey, vanilla from the bourbon casks has matured well and the whisky coats the mouth in a creamy manner allowing the flavours to settle nicely across the taste buds, then a little bursts of salt. Truly amazing for an 8 year old single malt.
Finish: Now there’s the peat drying on the tongue with more little burst of salt and citrus. It’s long and creamy, this one will not last long.
