Volume: 700ml ABV: 59.9% Age: 15 Years Old Country: Scotland The Diamond Distillery is the last surviving rum distillery in Guyana and produces characterful distillates that cannot be reproduced elsewhere. This is because the distillery’s Port Mourant double wooden pot still, Versailles single wooden pot still, and Enmore Wooden Coffey stills are the only remaining wooden stills left in the entire world. Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2019 with no chill filtration or colouring and at a whopping 59.6% ABV. This cask strength rum has been bottled by Leith Stillroom.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Red fruits and dark fruits mainly cherries and plums, dates and figs, shaved coconut, banana fritters, rockmelon and toasted coffee beans. Palate: Ripe bananas, tropical fruits of coconut and pineapple, dark brown sugar, bitter sweet chocolate, cinnamon spice and spiced oak. Finish: Dried tropical fruits, molasses and gentle spice.
