Loch Lomond is very well known for producing a very diverse production of spirit. The Inchfad is a heavily peated single malt produced at the Loch Lomond Distillery. In 2007 a distillation was placed into an ex-Oloroso barrique and left to mature for no less than 14 years. Bottled in July 2021 at 49% abv and only producing 234 bottles for worldwide distribution.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Spicy warm apple cider, ginger, Christmas cake spices and charred oak.
Taste: Toasted oak, espresso, smoked meats and big bold smoky flavours.
Finish: Smoky on every level, sweet smoke, charred oak and toasted malt.

North Star Spirits is an independent bottler based in Glasgow, Scotland. They pride themselves on bottling the finest single malt Scotch whisky, blended whisky and blended malt Scotch whisky. Producing artisan single cask whisky from various regions of Scotland as well as bottling rums, gins and Bourbon whiskey. All products are small batch, bottled at cask strength.
About The Distillery
The Independently owned Loch Lomond Company currently own this large distillery which produces around 2,500,000 litres of whisky per year. There are 8 single malts currently produced from this distillery Loch Lomond, Old Rusdhu and Inchmurrin are the main bottling labels you would tend to discover. Inchmurrin is named after the largest Island on the loch and is bottled as a ten year old. Vintage malts can also be expected from the Loch Lomond distillery 23 , 33 and 30 years old whiskies are not uncommon and very popular worldwide. This distillery was first known as the Littlemill Distillery and was established in 1965 but a distillery was known to be on the site or there about back in 1814. This distillery brings you wonderful notes of vanilla and fresh cereals, spicy and ginger with some peppery flavours. A very refreshing whisky on the palate.
