Known as ‘Glasgow’s Malt Whisky’ this distillery situated in the West of Scotland has stood the sands of time. Being built in 1800 it is now owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers. It’s better described as ‘breakfast whisky’, due to the delicate and sweet reaction it has the palate. One of only six lowland single malt distilleries still in operation.
This single malt whisky was distilled in 1999 at the Auchentoshan distillery before being placed in two ex-Bourbon Hogsheads and left to mature for 17 years. In June 2016 it was bottled at 55.5% abv as part of the Cadenhead Small Batch Collection.
