Fleurieu Distillery The Bivouac Australian Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

Volume: 700ml          ABV: 48%          Age: No Age Statement          Country: Australia
The Fleurieu Distillery is situated on the waters edge in the river port of Goolwa in South Australia. The environmental conditions are perfect to create a whisky which exhumes expressive maple, vanilla oak and spicy sea air. The distillery is owned and operated by Gareth and Angela Andrews who have been distilling quietly until their first release in 2017 caught the attention of many whisky drinkers world wide. Since this first release the distillery has been graced with many local and international awards for their whisky including Gold medals in Australia and Gold in the United States.

This release from the distillery is named ‘The Bivouac’ – The French word ‘bivouac’ was originally a military term where an additional watch was put in place in order to increase military or civilian vigilance at an encampment.  These days the modern use of the word is to describe a temporary camp or make shift rest point in an expedition or campaign. So then… four years later, we have released The Bivouac, as an acknowledgement of reaching another pivotal location.  A temporary resting point in our distilling journey before launching our next campaign and exploring new horizons.

As much as life is about the journey – it is the people you meet along the way who make the adventure memorable. We invite you to continue the journey with us and to live a life less ordinary as together we forge new paths ahead.

Bring on the Spring offensive!
