Glen Moray has a long wonderful history and it is a brand we are all (or should be) quite familiar with. The distillery was established in 1897 then closed in 1910 then reopened again in the 1920’s. The distillery is found in the town of Moray near Elgin and is bounded by the Moray Firth to the north. Distilling in this area is a major local industry and the Glen Moray distillery has always played a big part in local employment at the distillery and also preparing the ingredients which are grown locally. You should expect oatmeal, shortbread, blackcurrants and a lemony grassy flavour, A splash of water and there is a wonderful hint of heather.

A super tasty bottling here. Distilled at the Glen Moray distillery in 2007 and left to mature for no less than 14 years in an ex-Oloroso Sherry Hogshead. It was bottled in July 2021 at 51% abv with only 280 bottles being produced.
