Volume: 700ml ABV: 46% Age: 17 Years Old Country: Scotland
The Bruichladdich (pronounced ‘Brook-Laddie’) Distillery are world renowned for their maturation abilities. Now owned by Remy Cointreau the distillery is focused on sustainability and local produce. The distillery itself is state of the art and more work is being carried out to keep this distillery top of the game in the industry.
Boasting tall and narrow necked stills which produce a wonderful pure malt whisky. They currently boast three brands of whisky Bruichladdich an unpeated Islay single malt, Port Charlotte a peated Islay single malt and Octomore a heavily peated Islay single malt.
This whisky has been distilled in 1992 and spent 15 years maturing in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels. It was then transferred to ex-Fino Sherry barrels for two years of ‘finishing’. These Fino Sherry barrels were sourced from Jerez’s very own Rey Fernando de Castilla Bodegas.

*These are not the real tasting notes as we have not been lucky enough to try this whisky. It was sold out worldwide very quickly so this is a very good opportunity to get your hands on this rare bottling. If you do buy a bottle and you open it feel free to share the tasting notes with us and the rest of The Whisky Company Community. It might also make us just a tad jealous!
