The bottler is Douglas Laing an independent bottler of fine Scotch whisky established in 1948. The concept is to enable whisky lovers around the world a chance to come as close as they can to sampling whisky as it was straight from the cask or having a whisky experience like no other.
The Braeval Distillery sits in high pasture land, remote and sheltered. Because of this, illicit stills were common in the area for many years. The distillery was formerly known as Braes of Glenlivet and changed to Braeval in 1994. Did you also know that Braeval is Scotland highest distillery!
This eighteen year old single malt whisky was distilled back in July 2005 and set aside to mature in a refill hogshead. Only 292 bottles were produced at 48.4% ABV by Douglas Laing Independent bottlers. Part of the Old Particular single cask range.
