Our Tasting Notes
Nose: There’s plenty of fruity notes, currants, orange rind and vanilla. The green apples of anCnoc creep through as does the fresh maltiness. There’s spice, cinnamon, star anise and honey. A little lemon citrus and paoched pear.
Taste: First thought is creamy, fruity and with a touch of spice. The orange rind is there but it’s smoky and mixes well with the vanilla, toffee and candied ginger. The spice is delicate and allows everything to shine, cinnamon, star anise, allspice and a little oak. Sweet ginger, raisins and currents, cardamon and clove. There’s lots going on here and it all just fits.
Finish: A long lingering finish with sweetness and the spices are still around.
