Longmorn Aged 18 Years Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Chorlton Whisky (700ml)

Some fantastic spirit within the actual bottlings, it’s a range of whiskies that you cannot overlook, normally bottled undiluted, uncoloured, unchillfiltered, cask strength and a limited run, all leading to great reviews across the board. The Longmorn Distillery was established in 1893 by John Duff, Charles Shirres and George Thomson. Duff was a former manager of the Glendronach Distillery and the Bon Accord Distillery in Aberdeen, and was the founder of the Glenlossie Distillery. This distillery has graced the Speyside region for many years producing bold delicious flavours in its whisky. The distillery went through some expansion in 1972 and the now owners Pernod Ricard acquired the distillery in 2001 after purchasing Chivas Brothers. This distillery still remains unknown to most and there is no reason why as the whisky it produces is amongst the highest quality in the world and delights the palate. The distillery produces 3,500,000 litres of whisky per annum and you should expect this whisky to give you sweetness, spices and wonderful a mouth feel with honey, apples and toffee. This single malt whisky was distilled at the Longmorn distillery on the 4th of June 2022 before being placed in a single ex-Bourbon barrel and left to mature for 18 years. It was bottled at 51.1% abv, natural cask strength. Only 203 bottles being produced for worldwide enjoyment.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Green apples, green banana, under ripe pears, honey sweetness and rock melon. Creamy vanilla and soft spice. Palate: Creamy and fruity. Ripe green apples, sweet pears, lemon citrus, grapefruit and apricots. Finish: Medium to long, tropical fruits and citrus with soft balanced oak.
