While originally from the UK, the company also has a bar located in Singapore. Braeval Distillery sits high on pasture land, remote and sheltered. Because of this, illicit stills were common in the area for many years. Originally built by Canadian company Seagrams in 1973 for the Chivas Brothers brand. It was absorbed into the Pernod Ricard portfolio along with Chivas in 2001, after which production temporarily ceased and the distillery mothballed until 2008. Formerly known as Braes of Glenlivet and changed to Braeval in 1994. Did you also know that Braeval is Scotland highest distillery! An independently bottled single cask Scotch whisky bottled by The Single Cask. Distilled in December 1994 and aged in cask #165641 for no less than 22 years when it was bottled in May 2017. Only 155 bottles available worldwide.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Tarte tatin and vanilla anglaise, barrel char. Palate: Vanilla, citrus and stewed peaches plenty of malted barley notes and pleasantly floral. Finish: Espresso and spice.
