Gran Padre Tequila Blanco (750ml)

Volume: 750ml           ABV: 40%           Age: No Age Statement           Country: Mexico

Located in the heart of the Tequila region in the State of Jalisco, México is the family-owned and operated Destilería 501. An excess of 1 million Agave plants of varying ages are being carefully nurtured on land owned or controlled by the family. Once the Blue Weber Agave piñas are harvested, they are transported to a historic Destilería located in the village of El Arenal. The Destilería is equipped with a century-old ceramic oven, as well as the latest stainless steel autoclave oven to ensure each and every bottle of our tequila gets the same personalized attention to quality, taste and presentation.

From the planting of the Agave to the cooking of the hand selected piñas, the natural fermentation and distillation process that preserves the flavours and aromas worthy of only the finest tequilas, every step is performed by 2nd and 3rd generation jimadors that work for Destilería 501. 100% control over the entire process from the field to the shelf positions Destilería 501 spirits in a very exclusive and select list of brands that only a small percentage of the tequilas on the market can attest to.

Gran Padre Tequila Blanco is 100% Agave, clear, pure, crisp, elegant, and graceful while composed and genuine in its finish. Gran Padre Blanco will exceed any tequila lover’s expectations time-after-time. Great-tasting agave tequila with typical Valley herbal notes. Made from 100% Weber Tequila Blue Agave from our private estates. Gran Padre Tequila Blanco is a 100% artisanal process tequila made in a 100 year-old masonry oven, and double distilled in tower in its most natural version, with no additives added or shortcuts. Bright and crystalline in colour, its blue agave flavor with herbal and caramel hints are the result of their handcrafted process, cooked in a masonry oven and distilled in their 5 level distillation tower . An excellent option for connoisseurs and a classic for anybody that is looking for an old-style Valle Tequila.

Review By The Tequila Wizard

Mexican 38% ABV. Lote B009 Nose: Spice, herbs, fruit and nuts – tinged with a pine, acid like aroma. Juicy fruit gum. Flavour: Sweet and peppery. Green agave notes. Pepper heat mingling with cinnamon red hots. A touch of bitterness. Finish: Anise and a dash of salt emerge to join the omnipresent pepper heat. Medium short in duration. This tequila picks up points on value. Very affordable offering.
