The bottler is Douglas Laing an independent bottler of fine Scotch whisky established in 1948. The concept is to enable whisky lovers around the world a chance to come as close as they can to sampling whisky as it was straight from the cask or having a whisky experience like no other.
The Glen Garioch Distillery was founded in 1797 and makes it one of the oldest official distilleries in Scotland. This distillery takes it water from the springs on Percock Hill which helps it to produce over 1,000,000 litres of whisky per year. The current owners are Morrison-Bowmore Distillers Ltd and the distillery has 3 beautiful large stills. You should expect a clean and fresh whisky with lots of fruity characteristics such as melon, peaches, and apricots.
This ten year old single malt whisky was distilled back in February 2010 and set aside to mature in a single refill barrel. Only 283 bottles were produced at 46% ABV by Douglas Laing Independent bottlers. Part of the always tasty Provenance range.
